  无产阶级文化大革命揭露我和批判我，是完全应该的，它对于我本人也是一个挽救。我完全拥护主席的话：无产阶级文化大革命是完全必要的、非常及时的。

  关于我自己，我的错误和罪过，在一九六八年六七月间写的“我的自述”中，就我自己认识到的，作了检讨。到现在，我仍然承认我所检讨的全部内容，并且再次肯定我对中央的保证，永不翻案。

  第二、华国锋时期邓小平对文革的评论

  1977年7月20日邓小平出席华国锋主持的同各省党的负责人座谈会上邓小平说：“我们党是坚持马列主义、坚持社会主义路线的，但有些人却不要马列主义，不要社会主义，这些人往往利用我们以为风平浪静相当安稳的时候，暗中拌我们一跤，使我们四脚朝天，他们就趁机把中国带到资本主义的道路上去，刘少奇就是这种人。

  要不是毛主席发动文化大革命，把资本主义和马列主义、社会主义之间的斗争通过大字报、大鸣、大放、大辩论来使我们认识清楚，我真会让刘少奇拉着鼻子走。这说明什么？是我过了几年太平日子，思想模糊了，路线搞不清楚，很多同志也会有这种错误，现在基本上扭转过来了，这就是文化大革命的首功。

  所以说文化大革命的成绩，主要是保住了党的本质，也保住了江山不改色。毛主席的伟大之处也就可以在这里体现出来。”
